Drive network performance improvements through proactive monitoring, data analysis, and capacity planning initiatives

Develop, document, and enforce technical standards, including detailed Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for maintenance and upgrades

Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex network and customer issues; lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews

Partner with NOC, Field Operations, and OSP teams to support network deployment, expansion, and operational excellence

Oversee and optimize network monitoring, alerting, and telemetry systems to ensure proactive issue detection and response

Mentor and support junior engineers and NOC staff, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing across the team

Contribute to the deployment and support of public Wi-Fi and other value-added network services

Assist in the administration and support of Linux and Windows-based systems as needed

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in network engineering within a telecommunications or service provider environment

Strong experience with Juniper (MX/QFX) and/or Nokia (7750 SR OS) platforms

Proven expertise in service provider technologies, including BGP, MPLS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and dynamic routing protocols

Hands-on experience with fiber access technologies (GPON, XGS-PON, FTTP)

Experience with network monitoring, alerting, and performance management tools; Linux administration experience preferred

Industry certifications such as JNCIS-SP, JNCIP-SP, Nokia SRC, CCNP, or CCIE strongly preferred

Ability to handle complex network issues with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and make sound technical decisions

Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams

What Success Looks Like

Deep ownership of the network is demonstrated, with performance, scalability, and reliability challenges proactively identified and resolved

Complex network issues are resolved efficiently with clear root cause analysis, resulting in reduced downtime and improved customer experience

Network performance, capacity, and scalability are continuously improved through data-driven recommendations and implementation of best practices

Technical standards, MOPs, and documentation are well-defined, consistently followed, and contribute to operational efficiency and reduced risk
