I need a pair of separate CFD runs in ANSYS Fluent for two different wavy-surface rings spinning freely in air at 12,000 rpm. My purpose is to understand the flow dynamics around each ring.
The simulations should preferably employ the k-omega turbulence formulation; if you see a compelling reason to refine that choice we can discuss it. A high-quality mesh near the wavy surface is essential because I will be analyzing the pressure distribution pattern over the entire ring surface.
Deliverables:
• Lift force and torque values, and pressure distribution on the wavy surfaces.
• A report describing the computational domain, meshing approach, boundary conditions, solver parameters, and a short discussion of the results.
