Revit MEP Modeler for Hydroponic Equipment

Freelance Revit MEP Modeler / BIM Coordinator – Short-Term Project

We are looking for an experienced Revit MEP Modeler / BIM Coordinator for a short-term international project involving industrial hydroponic equipment.

We have fully designed equipment models in SolidWorks that need to be converted into optimized Revit Families and integrated into the client’s live Revit master model to produce coordinated MEP shop drawings.

Scope of Work

1. SolidWorks → Revit

* Convert SolidWorks models (.STEP, .SAT, or similar) into optimized, lightweight Revit Families (.RFA).
* Simplify geometry where needed while maintaining accurate dimensions and key equipment details.
* Ensure the families do not unnecessarily increase the Revit project file size.

2. BIM Integration & Coordination

* Place the equipment accurately within the client’s live Revit master model.
* Work with the provided Shared Coordinates, Grids, and Levels.
* Ensure correct positioning, orientation, and coordination with the existing model.

3. MEP Connection Points
Clearly identify and document all required utility connections, including:

* Water Supply
* Drainage
* Electrical / MDP

Connection points must include accurate locations, elevations/levels, dimensions, and relevant tags/legends.

4. Shop Drawings
Produce professional coordinated MEP shop drawings directly from Revit, including:

* Plans
* Sections
* Elevations
* Dimensions
* Tags
* Legends
* Connection point elevations

Important

This is strictly a BIM modeling, coordination, and drafting role.

No mechanical equipment design, engineering calculations, or complex MEP system design/routing is required. The equipment design is already completed in SolidWorks.

Requirements

* Strong practical experience with Autodesk Revit
* Revit Family creation and optimization
* BIM coordination
* Experience converting SolidWorks/CAD models into Revit
* MEP shop drawing experience
* Understanding of Shared Coordinates, Levels, and Grids
* Experience with MEP connectors is preferred
