Residential Structural Engineering Support

I’m looking for a qualified structural engineer to handle all structural aspects of my residential building. The scope can cover everything from preliminary calculations and load-bearing analysis through to stamped drawings ready for permit submission, and I’m open to your recommendations on the exact workflow once you understand the project details.

Right now, the building concept is defined and I have architectural sketches, but I still need the structural expertise to make sure the design is safe, code-compliant, and optimized for cost-effective construction. If you have experience with concrete, steel, or hybrid residential systems, and you’re comfortable coordinating with architects and local authorities, your guidance will be invaluable.

Please outline:
• The specific services you would provide (e.g., full design, peer review, site visits, or on-call consultation).
• The software you typically use (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, Revit, AutoCAD, etc.), so I know file compatibility.
• A general timeline for delivering initial calculations and final stamped drawings.
