Role Summary
As a Research Assistant, you will go beyond basic data collection to actively support the design, execution, and communication of research that shapes how the world understands Muslim-friendly travel. Working alongside our Research, Data, and Intelligence team, you will help transform raw data into compelling, business-ready insights for governments, destinations, and corporate clients. In this role, AI is a force multiplier for rigorous research — accelerating literature reviews, supporting data synthesis, and streamlining report drafting. We expect strong human judgment, methodological integrity, and critical thinking to verify AI-generated outputs before they carry the CrescentRating standard. You will own this human-in-the-loop approach, applying modern tools to the analytical heavy lifting while your intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and understanding of the Muslim travel landscape ensure every output meets our authoritative standard.
Key Responsibilities
Research Design & Execution:Design, develop, and disseminate appropriate quantitative surveys and conduct desk-based research to generate actionable insights for industry stakeholders.
Data Analysis & Reporting:Collect, collate, analyze, and translate quantitative results into intuitive, business-friendly reports using a variety of approaches and methodologies.
Report Production:Assist in the preparation of research reports and work closely with graphic designers to develop infographics and visually compelling deliverables.
Client Support:Serve as the first level of support and contact point for clients seeking information on research and consultancy products and services.
Business Development:Prepare proposals for research and consultancy products for prospective clients, and support efforts to establish and grow relationships within existing accounts.
AI-Augmented Research Workflows:Actively leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) to accelerate literature reviews, secondary research, and report drafting — while applying rigorous human oversight to verify accuracy and methodological soundness.
Where opportunities arise, explore and prototype lightweight AI-assisted tools (e.g., custom GPTs, prompt frameworks, or simple automation scripts) that streamline recurring research tasks and reduce manual processing time.
