Our internal knowledge base contains a series of research papers that have grown rapidly over the past year. To maintain credibility, every reference now needs a close inspection against the Chicago style guidelines. I want each citation checked for two things at once: its formatting (punctuation, italics, order of elements, etc.) and its factual accuracy—author names, publication dates, page ranges, DOIs, you name it.

You will work directly in our shared repository (Markdown files and a few PDFs) and leave clear change-track notes so the team can see exactly what was corrected. If you discover a source that appears misquoted or incomplete, flag it and suggest a fix or request the missing details.

Deliverables
• A clean, fully updated set of reference lists for every paper
• A brief change log summarising any sources you flagged as unverifiable or that required substantial edits

Acceptance Criteria
• All citations conform to the latest Chicago Manual of Style (17th ed.)
• No factual mismatches remain between the in-text citations, bibliography entries, and their original sources
• Change log is concise and maps back to file names and line numbers

I’m happy to answer domain-specific questions as you go; accuracy is the priority, speed is a close second.
