I run “The Gourmet Grad,” a new food-and-lifestyle brand that shows fellow graduate students how to cook affordable, elevated meals while juggling a tight budget. I shoot the footage myself; what I need is a creative, dependable editor who can turn those clips into eye-catching Instagram Reels.

Here’s the vibe I’m after: an aesthetic, engaging look that still feels totally relatable and casual. Most videos will centre on quick cooking recipes—think 30–60-second, 9:16 clips that move briskly without feeling frantic. Clean cuts, tasteful text overlays, auto-captions, subtle motion graphics, and the occasional trending audio or sound effect usually do the trick.

Your job
• Assemble raw footage into polished Reels ready to upload to Instagram.
• Add captions, ingredient callouts, and minimal transitional effects that fit the brand’s casual, friendly tone.
• Balance colour and audio so everything feels bright, natural, and consistent across posts.
• Deliver an export-ready MP4 plus the project file (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve—your choice).
