I have a collection of digital receipts—mostly PDFs and images—that I need processed quickly and accurately. From every file, I only require two data points captured:

• the purchase date
• the total amount shown on the receipt

Please enter each record on its own line in a single CSV file with the headers “Date” and “Total”. Consistency in date formatting (YYYY-MM-DD) and correct numerical values are essential, so a quick internal double-check or automated validation step will be appreciated.

Image-based receipts may need OCR, so feel free to rely on tools such as Tesseract, Adobe OCR, or any Python/RPA script you find reliable, provided the final numbers are spot-on. Confidentiality is important; these receipts contain real purchase data.

Once the CSV is complete, send it back along with a brief note on any receipts that were unreadable or required assumptions so I can review them. A small sample up front will help confirm we’re aligned before you proceed with the full batch.
