I have a consumer-oriented product idea ready to move from sketch to something I can hold in my hands. Your job is to translate my concept into a clean CAD model and deliver a high-quality plastic print that I can evaluate for form, fit, and basic function.
Here is what I need from you:
• Create a detailed 3D model in SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or comparable professional software, respecting the overall dimensions and ergonomic cues I will provide.
• Optimise wall thicknesses, overhangs, and snap-fits so the part prints reliably on common FDM or SLA machines.
• Supply the native CAD file plus export in STL/STEP.
• Produce one physical prototype in durable plastic (PLA, PETG or a material you recommend for early testing) and ship it to me once it passes a quick digital review.
I’m happy to iterate: we will start with an initial draft, I’ll give feedback, and you refine until everything lines up. If you have suggestions on material choice, print orientation, or minor design tweaks to improve manufacturability, please voice them—I value that expertise.
When you respond, let me know:
– Which CAD package and printer you plan to use
– Typical turnaround time for design revisions and final print
– Any past consumer product prototypes you can show
Looking forward to seeing the idea come to life.
