Prospective Student Tracker Sheet

I need a Google Sheet that lets our recruitment team enter every prospective student’s details once and immediately see them fall into the right classification bucket—Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Transfer. The sheet must capture two core data points for each lead: the student’s name with full contact information, and their academic interests or intended major.
Because we will be adding dozens of cards at campus events, I’d like the sheet to sort itself automatically by classification so nobody has to drag-and-drop rows after a long day on the road. A clean, intuitive layout is essential; think color-coded tabs or filtered views that keep each category one click away but still allow an “All Students” master view when needed.
Deliverables
• A ready-to-use Google Sheet shared via link, pre-built with:
– Five classification tabs (Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, Transfers) OR a single sheet with a dropdown and built-in automatic sorting—whichever you feel is smoother.
– Columns for Name, Email, Phone, Academic Interest/Major, and an optional Notes column.
• The script, formula, or Filter/View setup that performs the automatic sort, clearly documented.
• Brief inline instructions so any new team member can add data without breaking the automation.
Once delivered I’ll test by importing a sample list; if every record lands in the correct classification view and the layout remains tidy, we’re good to go.
