Seeking Professional Read‑Through of 90,000‑Word Fiction Manuscript — $150 Flat Fee

I’m seeking a professional editor to perform a read‑through only of Book One of my ten-book saga. Book One is ~90,000 words ~300 pages). This is NOT an editing job — no markup, no corrections, no developmental notes. I simply want a professional reader’s impression of clarity, flow, pacing, and readability.
Scope: Read the full manuscript, provide a brief reaction (1–2 paragraphs), no editing, no track changes, no line notes. Compensation: $150 flat fee. Expected reading time: ~5 hours. Rate equivalent: $30/hour. Purpose: This read‑through is essentially a paid audition for the final edit. If we’re a good fit, I intend to hire the same person for the full professional edit after my last author pass and Grammarly pass. Optional: If preferred, I can send five ten‑page sections from throughout the book and pay $50 for a ~45-minute read. The saga is a semi-autobiographical, age-appropriate romance set in Southern California over ten years beginning in 1961.
