**Principal Backend Engineer — Build the Revenue System, Not a Pretty Demo**

Nexara Labs USA is looking for an elite backend builder to help harden the systems that decide whether a growing company becomes real: customer/lead ownership, permissions, CRM writes, quote integrity, affiliate attribution, security, audit history, and deployment control.
This is not a junior ticket queue and it is not an invitation to make a flashy front-end mockup. We want an engineer who sees the risk behind a feature request, understands how revenue and data go wrong, and can ship boringly reliable infrastructure inside an existing product without breaking the live business.
You will work alongside the existing technical owner. You do not get to take over company accounts, alter commercial logic without approval, or create a second source of truth. You do get the chance to become the person the company trusts with hard problems because you can prove your work in production-quality systems.
**Likely workstreams**
- Canonical CRM application/lead writes, deduplication, ownership, source tracking, consent, and audit trails.
- Role-based access, named accounts, MFA, least privilege, and clean offboarding.
- Server-authoritative quote, attribution, and commission controls with no client-side trust.
- Safe integrations, webhook idempotency, observability, backups, rollback planning, and deployment hygiene.
- Secure handoff of repositories, cloud, domains, databases, recovery access, and documentation to Nexara-controlled ownership.
**The model**
No retainer. Every milestone is defined with an objective acceptance test before work starts. Payment is earned only after the accepted deliverable is in Nexara-controlled systems and passes that test. This is not equity, and it is not an unpaid “trial project.” It is a performance-based build relationship for someone who can deliver.
**We want**
- Senior/principal backend experience in production systems with real users, money paths, or sensitive business data.
- Strong Node/TypeScript, APIs, databases, auth, integrations, cloud/deployments, and security habits.
- Clear writing, a bias toward tests and rollback, and no ego about working in an existing codebase.
- Evidence: real shipped systems, specific failure modes you prevented, and explainable architecture decisions.
