I’m ready to put my work online and need a skilled web developer to build a clean, responsive portfolio site. The site must highlight my projects through an attractive image gallery, capture enquiries via an always-visible contact form, and include a simple blog section so I can share updates without touching code.
I’m open to WordPress, a lightweight CMS, or a static-site approach—whichever keeps maintenance effortless while staying fast and secure. Standards-based HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, solid SEO foundations, mobile-first layouts, and cross-browser testing are all expected. Please propose the stack you feel is best, explain why, and factor in basic performance optimisation and accessibility.
Deliverables
• Fully functional portfolio website, deployed to my chosen host
• Image gallery with lightbox (or similar) viewer and easy content management
• Contact form wired to my email with spam protection and success/fail messages
• Blog section that lets me add, edit, and schedule posts through an admin interface
• All source files plus a concise hand-over guide covering updates and backups
Acceptance criteria
The gallery loads in under three seconds on a standard desktop connection, the contact form successfully sends messages and returns confirmations, and I can publish a new blog post on my own before sign-off.
