I want to verify how strongly the Coanda effect develops when air leaves a plenum and travels through a linear slot diffuser, and to understand exactly what that means for real-world performance. Your CFD study should quantify two primary metrics: airflow distribution across the slot and the associated pressure drop from plenum inlet to diffuser outlet. Temperature isn’t critical for this phase; the focus is purely on flow behaviour and losses.

I can supply a clean CAD model of the linear diffuser, but the matching plenum still has to be modelled. Once that geometry is ready, you will mesh the assembly, set up the simulation, and run steady-state (and, if helpful, transient) cases until the flow stabilises. I’m comfortable with whichever solver you know best—ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, COMSOL, or something equivalent—as long as you can document the setup so I can reproduce the results later.

Deliverables
• Native CAD for the new plenum, ready for future design iterations
• Simulation input files, meshes, and boundary-condition notes
• High-resolution plots: velocity contours, streamlines illustrating Coanda attachment, pressure contours, and a table summarising overall pressure drop and flow uniformity at the slot
• A concise report explaining assumptions, turbulence model selection, mesh independence evidence, and key findings

Acceptance criteria
1. Mesh independence demonstrated with ≤3 % change in global pressure drop.
2. Mass-flow balance within 1 % at all boundaries.
3. Report clearly links observed flow patterns to the Coanda effect and highlights any design recommendations.

If you have questions about operating conditions, inlet flow rates, or material properties, just let me know—I can provide them immediately so you can begin as soon as we agree on the scope.
