I want a clean, intuitive spreadsheet that lets me keep track of every book I’ve finished. The main goal is simple: organise the books I’ve read so I can quickly see what’s in my personal library and find titles again later.

Here is the core information I want to capture for each entry: title, author, a flexible “tags” field (so I can label genres or themes), space for personal notes, the cover image, and a direct link to where the book can be read or purchased. A well-structured header row and sensible column widths will make data entry painless.

Formulas aren’t a big focus; basic counts or summaries you feel are useful are fine, but nothing complex is required. What matters most is tidy formatting, easy sorting and filtering (especially by tags or author), and image cells that display the covers without breaking the layout.

Deliverables:
• A fully formatted spreadsheet in Google Sheets (or Excel if easier to prototype, then moved to Sheets) with the columns above ready to use.
• Brief, in-cell notes or a short guide explaining any built-in filters or light formulas you include.

If this sounds clear, just set it up so I can start logging my books right away. I like when i can see all of the book images in a row.
