PDF Extraction & Drupal Integration

I have a folder of PDFs whose text needs to move straight into my Drupal site as publish-ready content. The job is two-fold: first, pull clean, machine-readable text from each file; second, push that text into Drupal so it appears as nodes with the correct titles, body fields, and basic formatting intact.

Speed matters, but so does accuracy—headings and paragraphs must remain recognisable once they land in Drupal. A small amount of HTML tagging is fine if it helps preserve structure, yet I do not need images or styling from the original files.

You are free to script the extraction in Python (pdfminer.six, PyPDF2, Tika) or PHP if you prefer to stay native to Drupal; the crucial part is that the end result populates my Drupal 9 install through the REST API, Feeds, or a custom module—whatever is fastest and most reliable.

Deliverable:
• A repeatable script or Drupal module that reads PDFs from a designated folder and creates or updates Drupal nodes with the extracted text.

I will supply sample PDFs and a staging login so you can test directly on the site. Once the script runs smoothly on those samples, we will point it at the full batch and call the project done.
