I need a dependable technician who can take over my helpdesk queue during the overnight shift (roughly 11 p.m.–7 a.m. UTC). You will be the first point of contact for any Windows-based incidents that arrive after hours and will keep the environment stable until the day team comes back online.

Your nightly workflow will revolve around three core areas:

• Troubleshoot incoming tickets that relate to hardware faults, software errors, or sudden network disruptions. Clear, concise ticket notes are mandatory so the day shift can see exactly what you did and why it worked.

• Apply scheduled operating-system and application updates that have been pre-approved in our change calendar. Each update must follow the documented rollback procedure in case of failure.

• Perform routine user-account tasks—password resets, group membership tweaks, new-hire account creation—using Active Directory and our self-service portal.

All work is done on Windows Server 2019/2022, Windows 10/11 endpoints, VMware vSphere consoles, and a mix of SolarWinds and PRTG monitoring dashboards. You should already be comfortable bouncing between these tools without hand-holding.

Acceptance criteria for each shift:

1. All tickets received overnight are either resolved or escalated with full diagnostics attached.
2. Scheduled updates finish inside the maintenance window with screenshots/logs uploaded.
3. User account requests are closed within 15 minutes of arrival, barring dependencies.
4. A brief shift summary is emailed to the team lead before sign-off.

If you can keep the lights on while everyone else sleeps, I’m ready to hand you the keys.
