OTP-Verified E-Commerce Website

I’m launching a full-featured e-commerce site and need it built from the ground up with secure SMS-based OTP verification at sign-up. Once a shopper registers and verifies their mobile number, they should be able to log in, browse or search products, open product pages with clear pricing, add items to a cart, and complete checkout smoothly.

Two fulfilment modes must be supported:
• Home Delivery – sent to the customer’s saved address.
• Store Pickup – customer collects the order in person.

During checkout the customer chooses a fulfilment method, pays online through a secure gateway, and receives confirmation. I’m open to popular gateways such as Stripe, PayPal, or local card processors—advise on the best fit and integrate it with PCI-compliant handling. If storing payment tokens for faster repeat purchases is straightforward and safe, please outline how you would implement that; otherwise a one-time payment flow is fine.

Core requirements
• Responsive, user-friendly UI that works on mobile and desktop.
• Robust SMS OTP flow for registration and, if needed, two-factor login.
• Product catalogue with search, filtering, and category pages (I’ll add categories such as electronics, clothing, and home goods later).
• Cart, order summary, and checkout with delivery/pickup selection.
• Secure online payment integration and error handling.
• Admin dashboard for product, inventory, order, and user management.
• Real-time order status updates and basic tracking visible in the user’s account.
• Clean, well-documented code (Laravel, Django, Node.js, or a modern equivalent; front-end can be React/Vue, but I’m flexible).
• Deployment on my chosen hosting (AWS, DigitalOcean, or cPanel) with HTTPS configured.

Please detail the tech stack you recommend, any third-party services needed for SMS and payments, and an estimated timeline broken into milestones (design, development, QA, launch). I’ll provide product data, branding assets, and copy once we start.
