I need a patient, experienced online tutor who can guide a beginner-level student through the Chinese syllabus used in Malaysian Chinese primary schools. The lessons will be 1-to-1 and fully online, so you should be comfortable using Zoom or a similar platform and sharing digital worksheets or slide decks in real time.
The main objective is exam preparation. While we will naturally touch on speaking, listening and basic writing, I want each session to prioritise the reading comprehension passages that appear in school tests. That means breaking down unfamiliar characters, explaining sentence patterns in simple terms, and giving plenty of timed practice so the student becomes confident with the exam format.
Because the learner is starting from scratch, you will need to:
• design a structured weekly plan that mirrors the official primary syllabus,
• supply short homework tasks and mock exam questions after every class, and
• send me a brief progress update at the end of each month highlighting strengths, gaps and next steps.
If you have prior experience with KSSR Semakan or other Malaysian primary materials, please mention it; sample teaching slides or worksheet excerpts are welcome. I’m ready to begin as soon as we agree on a timetable, ideally two one-hour sessions per week.
