Album cover brief — "OFF the RAILS"
Important: the title is a metaphor. Please avoid any literal train, rail, track, or railway imagery. "Off the rails" here means the human experience of losing control, breaking away from the expected path, the moment things stop making sense in the usual way.
I'm looking for a single, striking image that makes the viewer stop and think — something psychological and emotional rather than illustrative. It should capture that inner state: the tension between order and collapse, composure and chaos, the familiar turning strange.
Some directions to explore (open, not prescriptive): a face or figure caught mid-transformation; a familiar scene subtly and disturbingly wrong; symmetry that breaks down; a controlled composition where one element refuses to obey. The goal is to raise a question, not answer it — an image that feels a little unsettling and stays with the viewer.
It must grab attention instantly, even as a small thumbnail on streaming platforms. Bold, intentional, conceptual — never decorative.
I'm still open on treatment: stark black and white for raw drama, or vivid color for contrast and impact. I'd like to see how each serves the concept.
The artwork must be original and commissioned exclusively for this release, with full rights transferred to me — no stock imagery.
