OBS Webcam-Only Replay Script

In my current OBS Studio scene I combine a live webcam feed (Video Capture Device) with a browser source overlay. I need an automated way to trigger replays that record only the webcam feed—leaving the browser layer out—then save each replay as an MP4 in a dedicated folder for later use.

Here’s what I’m after:
• A script, filter, or lightweight plugin for OBS Studio that isolates the webcam source when the replay buffer is saved.
• Replays must be written directly to a folder I can set beforehand, with sequential filenames or timestamps so nothing is overwritten.
• Output format is MP4. No post-conversion steps—I want the file ready to drop into editing software immediately.
• A brief setup guide so I can install, configure, and adjust folder paths on my end without digging through code.

If you’ve worked with the OBS scripting API (Lua, Python) or created custom filters before, this should be straightforward. Functionality is more important than fancy UI: as long as a hotkey or on-scene-transition event captures only the webcam and deposits the clip in the right place, we’re good.
