OBS Setup & Editing Guidance

I’m ready to start recording clear, professional-looking tutorial videos with OBS, but I need a short, focused walkthrough to get everything dialed in. My goals are exclusively on-demand recording rather than live streaming, so every setting should be optimized for offline capture and later upload.
Here’s exactly where I want your expertise:
• Setting up scenes and sources so I can switch smoothly between camera, screen share, and any overlays I might add later.
• Configuring audio and video parameters—resolution, bitrate, filters, noise suppression, and any must-have plug-ins—to make sure voiceovers are crisp and the screen capture looks sharp.
• Walking me through basic in-program editing tools (trims, cuts, simple transitions) so I can polish clips before sending them to my main editor.
We can work over a live screenshare session or step-by-step written guidance—whichever you prefer—as long as I end up with a repeatable workflow and a saved profile I can load each time. By the end of the engagement I should be able to open OBS, select the right scene, hit record, and trust that audio, video, and overlays are all set correctly.
If you have sample profiles or template scenes tailored to tutorial content, that’s a plus. Let me know your experience level with OBS (version 29 or 30 preferred) and how quickly you can schedule the first walkthrough.
