Important - Please read before submitting your proposal: To ensure smooth communication, applicants must possess advanced or intermediate English proficiency. U.S. residents are preferred. While in-person meetings are ideal, remote work is also possible for experienced developers. Due to previous developers' unclear identities and lack of contact, applicants must quickly familiarize themselves with the ongoing project to ensure development proceeds without interruption.
Before the project begins, our technical team will conduct a brief test. Those who pass the test will participate in a 30-minute technical interview. As this project involves currently operational systems and sensitive infrastructure, you must present a valid identification document, such as a passport or driver's license, during the technical interview to verify your identity.
This procedure is intended to prevent instances of unexpected loss of contact due to insufficient developer identity verification in the past, and to ensure technical competence, reliability, and business continuity.

Description:
Headquartered in London, Portofino Technologies is one of the most established companies in the Ethereum and Web3 ecosystems. As a New York based branch, we are seeking an experienced Node.js developer to maintain and update our self-hosted cryptocurrency market-making bot. This software enables token projects to manage liquidity (order books, spreads, volume, price ranges) on centralized exchanges (CEX) on their own servers without the need for a third-party custodian.
This project is based on existing operational code and is not a new development project. Responsibilities may include bug fixes, dependency updates, adding new features, improving exchange connectors, enhancing the CLI/web UI, and supporting Linux distributions.
Experience with cryptocurrency trading systems, market-making bots, exchange APIs, order books, and Web3 infrastructure is preferred.
As this is our first time using this platform, no upfront payment will be provided.
Selected developers must first complete and submit the agreed-upon deliverables. Payment will be made in accordance with the agreed-upon project terms after the deliverables have been reviewed and approved.
If you are highly skilled in this field, price negotiation is possible.
Conversion to a full time position is possible in the future.
Please refrain from applying if you lack experience with cryptocurrency trading systems, exchange APIs, or similar operational software. Those interested in this project should submit their proposals by 4:00 PM on September 30. Thanks!
