Next.js Backend Refactor Expert Needed

I’m looking for an experienced developer to help maintain and manage an existing website for my small business. The website is already built and functioning — I am not looking to build a new website from scratch.

Current Setup

* Website/code hosted on GitHub
* Application deployed through Railway
* Code has been developed/maintained with the assistance of Claude AI
* Existing production website that needs to remain operational

What I Need Help With

I’m looking for someone who can:

* Review and understand the existing codebase
* Help me safely make changes and improvements to the website
* Work confidently with GitHub, including repositories, branches, commits, permissions, and backups
* Manage and troubleshoot the Railway deployment
* Rotate and securely replace Railway secrets/environment variables without disrupting the live website
* Review existing environment variables, API keys, tokens, and integrations for security
* Confirm that old credentials/access are properly revoked where necessary
* Troubleshoot deployment or code issues as they arise
* Help me maintain the website on an ongoing basis

Ideal Experience

* Strong GitHub experience
* Strong Railway experience
* Experience with Claude / Anthropic and AI-assisted coding workflows
* Full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript experience
* Next.js / React / Node.js experience
* Experience taking over and maintaining an existing codebase
* Experience with environment variables, API keys, secrets management, deployments, and website security

Security and reliability are extremely important. I need someone who understands how to work with a live production website and can make changes carefully without causing unnecessary downtime or loss of data.

Please include examples of projects where you have worked with Railway and GitHub, and specifically mention your experience with Claude/Anthropic.
