News Updates Website Build

I need a clean, fast, and easy-to-maintain website whose sole purpose is to publish timely news and updates. It will be web-only (no companion mobile app for now), but it still has to render flawlessly on phones, tablets, and desktops.

Core requirements
• A straightforward home page that automatically surfaces the latest posts and can be reordered by category or date.
• An intuitive editor or CMS so I can add headlines, body text, images, and embedded video without touching code.
• Search, tagging, and category filters so readers can quickly find past stories.
• Basic newsletter signup and social-share buttons to help grow the audience.
• Solid SEO foundations—clean URLs, metadata fields, and fast load times.
• SSL, basic analytics integration, and a simple privacy/terms page.

Acceptance criteria
1. The site passes Google Lighthouse scores of 90+ for performance and accessibility.
2. All content areas are fully editable through the CMS you choose.
3. Final deliverable is deployed on my hosting account and function-tested across the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox.
