New Season Trendy Samples / Fabric Sourcing From China

I run a buying office with our own production units in India and Bangladesh, supplying to US Polo, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Mufti, Flying Machine, Okaïdi and similar labels. To keep their collections fresh we need a constant stream of forward-thinking, China-made fabrics and ready reference samples that translate into next-season styles for leggings, joggers, technical tees and all things performance-driven.

Here’s what I expect from the expert who joins me:

• Source swatches and strike-offs that balance hand-feel, stretch recovery and, above all, eco-friendliness—think recycled poly, organic cotton blends, bio-based finishes, low-impact dyes.
• Organise couriering of physical sample sets to my offices in Delhi and Dhaka on a pre-agreed calendar (ideally one fresh pack every alternate week).
• Stay alert to trend drivers—yarn developments, surface treatments, functional coatings—and flag anything that can give our brands an on-rack edge before competitors spot it.

Acceptance criteria
1. First shipment: minimum 20 distinct fabric / sample concepts sourced , within one week of engagement
2. Ongoing bi-weekly drop of at least 10 new samples / fabric concepts.

When you respond, focus on your hands-on experience sourcing in China’s knit market, the mill relationships you already leverage, and any sustainability success stories you have delivered for international clients. I’m looking for someone who can plug in fast and keep the inspiration pipeline flowing all year round.
