Wearable Raksha Mask – FDM-Ready 3D Model
Hi, I'm looking to have the attached mask recreated as closely as possible as a wearable, FDM 3D-printable model.
I want the overall design, proportions and 3D forms to closely follow the supplied reference images. In particular, please accurately recreate the raised/layered features and depth of the brows, eye surrounds, nose/snout, cheeks, lips/mouth, teeth/fangs, chin, side ornaments and headdress.
I don't want these features simply represented as flat surface patterns. Features that project, overlap, curve or sit above/below other components in the references should be represented as actual 3D geometry.
Timeframe & revisions
I would ideally like the completed, print-ready model delivered within 10–14 days of commencing the project, including the fit-test stage and necessary adjustments.
Please only bid if this timeframe is realistic for you, and please include your estimated turnaround time in your proposal.
Before final delivery, I would like progress screenshots/renders from the front, side and 3/4 angles so I can confirm that the sculpt accurately matches the supplied references.
I would also like to review the internal structure and an exploded view showing the individual printable components, interlocking connections and assembly method before the final files are completed.
Please include at least 2 rounds of reasonable revisions/minor adjustments within your fixed-price quote. Any substantial changes outside the original agreed brief can be discussed separately.

• Face height: 230 mm
• Face width: 150 mm
• Forehead to eye line: 80 mm
• Nose-area height: 60 mm
• Jaw/chin area: 90 mm
• Pupil-to-pupil (centre-to-centre): 75 mm
• Nose depth/clearance: 50 mm
• Top skull arc: 320 mm
• Head circumference: 600 mm
These measurements are primarily for the internal fit. The exterior should retain the exaggerated proportions shown in the reference images.
Printer / build volume
I am planning to print the mask on an Anycubic Kobra S1 Max, with a maximum build volume of:
350 × 350 × 350 mm
Please design and divide the model so that all individual printable components fit within this build volume while minimising the number of pieces and visible seams.
You can determine the best print orientation, component layout and split locations based on your experience.
Wearability / construction
• Hollow, open-back wearable design, with room for some internal foam padding.
• Two 39.5 mm diameter eye openings, approximately 75 mm centre-to-centre.
• I will make and install the transparent eye lenses myself from behind, so please leave suitable internal mounting space around the eye openings.
• Reinforced internal mounting points for an adjustable head strap/harness.
• The completed mask needs to be sturdy enough for regular movement and filming while keeping the weight reasonable.
• Please determine the most appropriate way to divide the model into printable components.
• Separate structural components should use properly engineered interlocking/keyed connections so that they locate accurately and securely during assembly rather than relying on manual alignment alone.
• Once assembled, the exterior should appear continuous and fluid, with joins/seams positioned or designed so they do not unnecessarily disrupt the appearance of the mask.
• Please reinforce high-stress areas, particularly the headdress connections and strap/harness mounting points.
I am happy for you to determine the best construction, component layout and joining methods based on your experience, provided the finished model assembles reliably, is sturdy, wearable and preserves the appearance of the supplied reference.
Fit test
I'd like a basic low-detail fit-test shell early in the project, before the detailed final sculpt is completed, so I can print it and verify the fit, eye positioning and internal clearance.
Any fit corrections identified at this stage should then be incorporated into the final model.
Final deliverables
• Correctly scaled, print-ready STL files for all components
• Complete assembled 3D model for reference
• Editable/source 3D file(s) used to create the model, where applicable
• Model designed around the stated 350 × 350 × 350 mm FDM build volume
IP / commercial use
This design is inspired by traditional Sri Lankan Raksha masks. I am not seeking ownership of the traditional Raksha mask concept or traditional cultural elements.
However, I require ownership and full commercial usage rights to the original 3D model and files created specifically for this project, including the right to modify, reproduce and use the commissioned model for my content, branding and potential physical merchandise.
Please confirm that these rights are included in your quote.
