This assignment focuses on the France Visa Application Centre (VAC) in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Miami, Houston this forms part of a nationwide study running until September 2026.
Your role is to walk through the entire visa journey just as a real applicant would, withdrawing before any payment, biometrics, or passport hand-over. The objective is to capture an authentic customer-experience snapshot that will later be compared with data from other U.S. cities.
Scope of work
You will:
• Complete the online France visa application up to the payment screen, recording 4–5 short clips (30–45 s each) that show the key steps you take and any usability issues.
• Book a VAC appointment and attend it in person at the Los Angeles centre. While on-site, take the permitted photos and note staff behaviour, wait times, and facility conditions.
• Evaluate the official website and place at least one call to the enquiry hotline, noting clarity, courtesy, and accuracy of information.
• Fill out the 79-question post-visit survey and write a concise visit summary highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations.
• Provide proof of U.S. residence (required for payment).
Timing & effort
The field and reporting stages together take roughly 2–3 hours, excluding travel to the centre. All materials must be submitted within five days of the appointment and no later than the September 2026 project cut-off.
Acceptance criteria
• Videos clearly show navigation flow and any error messages.
• Photos comply with VAC security rules and illustrate signage, counter layout, and queue management.
• Survey responses are complete and consistent with the visit summary.
• Proof of residence is attached.
Once deliverables are approved, payment will be released immediately. Additional locations may open; strong performance here will put you first in line for future mystery visits.
