Contract Installation and Commissioning Engineer (Iraq)

We are hiring an experienced engineer on a contract basis for a manufacturing project in Iraq.

You will handle the mechanical and electrical installation, commissioning, and operator handover of stainless steel food and agro processing and packaging machinery at a production site in Iraq. This is a project based engagement covering setup, test runs, calibration, staff training, and early troubleshooting.

What you will do:

• Receive, position, and assemble machinery and conveyors from technical drawings.
• Complete mechanical alignment and electrical connection to 3 phase power, including pneumatics where fitted.
• Run tests, calibrate, and bring each machine to stable production output.
• Train the local operators and hand over the documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve faults during commissioning and the first weeks of production.

What we are looking for:

• Around 3 years of hands on experience installing and commissioning industrial processing or packaging machinery.
• A mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics background, comfortable reading technical and wiring diagrams.
• Practical knowledge of 3 phase power, motors, drives, and pneumatics.
• Based in Iraq, or able to work on site in Iraq for the project duration.
• Arabic and working English preferred, for operator training and coordination.
• Own hand tools and a methodical, safety first approach are an advantage.

• Contract, project based, on site in Iraq.
• Duration and rate to be agreed based on scope.
