I’m getting ready to unveil a new product here in Philadelphia and want local headlines, radio segments, and online buzz lined up before launch day. What I need is focused, boots-on-the-ground media relations: someone who already knows the editors, reporters, producers, and bloggers that shape conversation in this city and can put our story in front of them fast.

The assignment is straightforward—no large-scale event planning or broad community outreach, just solid press work that wins coverage. You will help me shape a compelling release, refine key talking points, and then pitch, follow up, and secure placements across outlets such as The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philly Mag, 6ABC, NBC10, WHYY, KYW Newsradio, and high-traffic local newsletters or podcasts.

Deliverables
• One polished press release ready for wire distribution
• A tailored media list with direct contacts for at least 25 relevant Philadelphia journalists and on-air bookers
• Individual story angles/pitch emails customized for each target outlet
• Coordination of interviews or product demos as requests come in
• A simple coverage report tracking published pieces, airtime, and social shares

Acceptance criteria
– Release and pitches submitted for approval within three business days of project start
– Minimum of five confirmed media placements (print, digital, radio, or TV) before launch date
– All communication logged so I can see outreach progress in real time

If you already have bylines or booking wins in the Philly market, tell me about them when you bid. Let’s get this product the hometown spotlight it deserves.
