I’m looking for a hands-on mechanical engineer who can dive straight into our food production line and measurably raise production speed. Your core mandate will be process optimization: studying our existing mechanical setup, spotting bottlenecks, and implementing practical changes that let each machine—and the line as a whole—run faster without compromising product quality or safety.

You’ll spend most of your time on the plant floor, gathering data, testing tweaks, and collaborating with operators and maintenance techs. Expect to work with common food-industry hardware (augers, conveyors, form-fill-seal, rotary fillers) as well as the usual toolset for continuous-improvement work—Lean techniques, Six Sigma methods, time-motion studies, and whatever CAD or simulation software you prefer for quick mechanical trials.

To be a strong fit you should point to solid, real-world experience boosting production speed in a manufacturing environment, ideally food or beverage. Share a brief snapshot of the challenges you faced, the mechanical or procedural changes you introduced, and the quantified throughput gains you achieved. That first-hand evidence of impact will weigh far more than a formal proposal at this stage.

Once on board, I’ll walk you through our line layout, existing KPIs, and any regulatory constraints, then hand over the schematics and historical downtime reports so you can set your baseline. From there we’ll agree on improvement targets, a practical timeline, and the resources you’ll need to hit them.

If you’ve unlocked faster cycle times before and are ready to do it again, I’d like to hear from you.
