Request for Proposal - www.mcclabel.com
Corporate Website Redesign and Content Management Platform
Proposal Due Date: October 16, 2026
Anticipated Project Start: Late 2026, contingent on 2027 budget approval
**1. Company Overview**
MCC Label (Multi-Color Corporation) is a North American label converter serving global consumer brands across food and beverage, home and personal care, spirits, and other industrial markets. This RFP is being issued to identify a digital agency partner to redesign and rebuild mcclabel.com on a modern content management platform. We are requesting proposals from a small group of qualified agencies and will use the responses to select a partner in the coming weeks.
**2. Project Background and Objectives**
Our current website runs on a platform that requires third-party development support for even routine changes, so our team cannot easily announce new products, refresh photography, or publish thought leadership on our own timeline. This project is a refresh, not a full rebrand. We want a modernized design within our existing brand identity, moved to a CMS our internal marketing team can manage independently. At a high level, we need a partner who can:
- Rebuild the site on a secure, modern CMS our team manages without developer support
- Refresh design and UX while preserving our existing brand
- Enable regional marketing teams to manage content for their markets
- Integrate with Salesforce for lead capture and routing
- Support multiple languages for our global audience
- Improve traditional SEO and AI-driven search visibility
**3. Core Requirements**
Every proposal should address each item directly.
**3.1 Security and Compliance**
The site must be hosted on a secure platform meeting our internal IT and Compliance standards. Our IT and Compliance teams will review the proposed hosting, data handling, and security architecture. Describe your approach to hosting security, data protection, and compliance review, and your experience with a customer's internal security review process.
**3.2 Content Management and Self-Service Editing**
Without developer support, our team must be able to edit page content and layouts, add new pages from templates, replace photography and media, and publish thought leadership (blog, case studies).
**3.3 Design Refresh**
An updated, modern look and improved usability within our existing brand identity. This is a refresh, not a rebrand.
**3.4 Salesforce Integration**
The site must integrate with Salesforce.com for lead capture and routing to our internal sales teams. We also use Pardot for marketing automation, so your approach needs to account for both working together. Describe your experience with Salesforce and Pardot integration, lead capture forms, data mapping, and recommended middleware or native integration.
**3.5 Multi-Language Support**
The site needs to support multiple languages for our global presence. We're open to your recommendation on translation workflow (human-managed by regional teams, machine translation with human review, or hybrid). Outline the options and how each affects cost and maintenance.
**3.6 Regional Content Management**
Global marketing partners need to manage content for their own regions (for example, APAC choosing different product photography than North America). The platform should support at least four regional content managers: North America, Latin America/South America, Europe/South Africa, and APAC/ANZ. Describe how your platform handles regional permissions and balances a shared template against regional flexibility.
**3.7 Filterable Global Locations**
MCC has 100+ locations worldwide. We need a locations directory end users can filter by region, country, capability, or market served. Describe your approach.
**3.8 SEO and AI Search Optimization**
Build with both traditional SEO and AI-driven search/sourcing in mind: clean IA, structured data/schema, fast performance, and content formatted to be read and cited by AI answer engines. Describe your approach to both.
**3.9 Careers Section**
Our Careers section is dated. Refreshing candidate engagement is core scope, not a nice to have, whether through a stronger landing page, better presentation of culture and roles, or improved ATS integration. Describe your approach.
**4. Preliminary Site Structure**
Using our current site as a scope starting point, not a design template. Current primary navigation: Label Solutions; Markets (Automotive & Chemicals, Beverage, Durables & Technical, Food & Dairy, Healthcare, Home Care & Laundry, Personal Care & Beauty, Wine & Spirits); Sustainability; How We Work; Equipment Solutions; About Us; Resources; Locations; News; Contact Us. This is a starting point. As part of your proposal, review and recommend refinements based on industry best practices, our SEO/AI goals, and the content types in this RFP. We expect final IA to be a collaborative early deliverable.
**5. Secondary Requirements (Nice to Have)**
Not required for launch but of strong interest. Price each item as a separate, itemized line.
**5.1 Regional E-Commerce Capability**
Option to add e-commerce, separable by region (for example, ANZ fulfilling differently from North America), living within our existing site rather than a separate storefront. Describe your approach and provide a separate cost estimate.
**5.2 AI-Assisted Lead Routing**
Leads matching an existing Salesforce account or contact already route automatically to the account owner. The manual step today is limited to net new contacts, which someone on our team reviews and forwards manually since there's no existing owner to route to. We're interested in whether AI could automate identifying and routing net new contacts without manual review. Describe your approach, tools, and a separate cost estimate.
**5.3 Additional Items for Consideration**
From our own competitor review, these may be worth pricing as optional add-ons: an interactive tool/configurator to help visitors find the right label or packaging solution; site-wide search; and a consent management layer for embedded video and maps to support privacy compliance across regions. Share your point of view and a rough cost estimate if feasible.
**6. Timeline and Phasing**
This project is funded through our 2027 budget. We expect to select a partner and begin work in late 2026, with at least phase one launching in Q1 2027. We're open to a phased approach if it launches core functionality faster, with additional capability later. If you recommend phasing, lay out what's in each phase and how it affects timeline and cost.
**7. Existing Content and Migration**
We want to reuse as much existing content and photography as possible to speed launch, while updating it for current SEO/AI search best practices where needed. The extent of updates needed is still TBD. Describe your approach to content audit, migration, and rewriting, and how you'd scope that work.
**8. Training and Ongoing Support**
Our team needs full training on the new CMS before and after launch. Please be specific about what's included versus billed separately once live:
- How you'd train our team (live sessions, recorded training, documentation, or a combination)
- Number of training sessions included
- What ongoing access to your team looks like post-launch (account contact, response times, support portal)
- What post-launch support is included (for example, a 30/60/90-day window or set support hours)
- Your rates or model for ad hoc support once included support is used
We want a clear line between what's covered initially and what generates additional charges.
**9. Proposal Requirements**
Please structure your proposal to include:
1. Agency background and relevant B2B/industrial experience
2. Recommended CMS platform and rationale, including fit with Section 3's regional and multi-language needs
3. Proposed information architecture, building on Section 4
4. Design approach for refreshing the site within our brand
5. Technical approach to security, compliance, hosting, and Salesforce/Pardot integration
6. Approach to multi-language and localization
7. Approach to content audit, migration, and SEO/AI optimization
8. Proposed project team, roles, and expected MCC involvement
9. Project timeline, including any recommended phasing
10. Itemized pricing, with core scope and each nice-to-have priced separately
11. Training and handover plan, including sessions, format, and post-launch support model
12. Ongoing support, hosting, and maintenance costs, including ad hoc rates after included support
13. Three client references, ideally B2B/industrial clients of similar size and complexity
**10. Evaluation Criteria**
We will evaluate proposals on, in no particular order:
- Relevant experience with similar organizations and scope
- Recommended platform and technical approach
- Quality of design and creative approach
- Clarity and completeness of proposed information architecture
- Total cost and value, including ongoing support
- Proposed timeline and ability to meet our Q1 2027 target
- References and past performance
- Clarity of the proposed training plan and post-launch support model
