A series of market research reports are required, each focusing on a niche technology market with a clear focus on identifying and profiling the dominant players operating worldwide. We will rely on you to create the structure of the study, gather and validate data from reliable sources (Statista, Gartner, IDC, company filings, earnings calls, etc.), and then write an insight-driven narrative that decision-makers can use. The primary focus of the report is to provide a market overview and company profiles of 20-40 active players in the particular niche.
We are a business-to-business publishing company. Each report will deal with a certain business or technology segment of our coverage area that is experiencing significant market growth. We will identify the subject area and provide a starter information package including companies, contacts, websites, descriptions, articles, etc. We will market the reports to our audience.
Scope of work
• Research and write a 2-3 page Market Overview: Explain the subject area covered and its key market drivers. Quantify market size and recent growth rates, then project the next five years.
• Research and write Company Profiles of 20-40 key players. Rank by revenue, market share, or installed base, depending on segment relevance, and include concise commentary for each. Highlight recent M&A, funding rounds, partnerships, capital investments and growth plans influencing competitive positioning.
• Write a one-page executive summary distilling the most actionable insights.
Deliverables
• Final report (25-50 pages) in editable MS Word/PDF with charts, tables, graphics and properly referenced data points.
• Underlying Excel workbook with raw figures, calculations, and sources linked.
• Slide deck (6–8 slides) summarizing findings for quick stakeholder presentations.
Acceptance criteria
• All data points traceable to a cited public source.
• Forecast methodology explained clearly enough to be replicated.
• Writing style concise, business-oriented, and free of jargon.
• Time frame is approximately 30 days for first draft of a report, and 60 days for completion.
Payment
We will pay you an agreed-upon fixed fee for the project, plus a royalty on each report sold. For the initial report, this will be $2,000 fixed fee plus 20% of each report sold after the first two. The estimated sales price of a report is $1,000 per copy. We expect that each report will sell approximately 10-20 copies within 12 months.
Related consulting services are possible in some cases. You pay us a 20% royalty on any consulting contracts that result from the project.
