Luxury Product Bible InDesign Rebuild

We are seeking an experienced Adobe InDesign production/layout designer to professionally rebuild an already-designed luxury apparel Product Bible from approved PowerPoint layouts.
This is not a branding or redesign project. The visual design has already been developed, reviewed, refined, and approved. We need someone with strong InDesign production expertise to faithfully translate the existing layouts into a clean, professionally structured, editable InDesign document suitable for both print and digital output.
The brand, Chemise Couture, is a luxury apparel label with a refined, minimal, “quiet luxury” visual direction.
The approved Product Bible includes editorial spreads, full-page photography, typography-driven layouts, garment technical drawings, construction callouts, specification information, measurement tables, House Principle panels, Manufacturer Insight sections, and recurring footer/navigation systems.
Some PowerPoint spreads contain editable elements, while others are partially flattened. The selected freelancer must therefore be comfortable reconstructing layouts accurately from approved visual references rather than simply performing an automated PowerPoint-to-InDesign conversion.
Scope of Work
The freelancer will:
- Rebuild the approved Product Bible as a native Adobe InDesign document
- Match the approved PowerPoint layouts as closely as possible; no redesign unless specifically requested
- Set up the document as 8 × 10-inch facing pages / 16 × 10-inch spreads
- Establish appropriate bleed and professional print-production settings
- Create a logical Parent Page system for recurring layouts
- Establish paragraph, character, object, table, and cell styles where appropriate
- Reconstruct recurring headers, footers, page numbers, rules, panels, and navigation consistently
- Rebuild editable typography rather than unnecessarily flattening text
- Create native/editable tables for measurement and specification information
- Maintain technical illustrations and brand marks as vector artwork wherever source assets permit
- Set up linked photography and artwork properly
- Preserve approved image crops, typography, spacing, alignment, hierarchy, and negative space
- Create organized layers and a clean linked-asset structure
- Conduct a visual QA comparison against the approved PowerPoint/PDF reference
- Prepare both print-ready and optimized digital PDF outputs
- Package the final InDesign project so it can be maintained and revised in the future
Important: This Is a Production Conversion, Not a Redesign
The approved PowerPoint/PDF will serve as the visual authority for the project.
We are looking for someone who understands the difference between improving the underlying production architecture and changing the approved design.
Typography, positioning, image crops, spacing, proportions, hierarchy, footer treatments, and other established visual decisions should be reproduced faithfully.
We welcome recommendations regarding genuine production issues—such as bleed, image resolution, color management, font handling, linked assets, or print specifications—but visual changes should not be made without approval.

- Parent Pages and advanced InDesign styles

- Illustrator/vector artwork
- Print production and preflight
- PDF/X and commercial-print PDF preparation
- Digital PDF optimization
- Reconstructing an approved design from another application
- Creating clean, organized files that another designer can maintain later
Strong attention to small alignment and typographic details is essential.
Deliverables
Final deliverables should include:
1. Native Adobe InDesign master file
2. Properly organized linked assets
3. Packaged InDesign project
4. Print-ready PDF
5. Optimized digital PDF
6. Any newly reconstructed vector assets created as part of the project
7. Clean Parent Page/style architecture
8. Final preflight with no unresolved missing links or unintended font substitutions
9. A brief handoff explaining the document structure so the file can be maintained internally
Application Requirements
Please include:
- 3–5 relevant examples of multi-page InDesign work, preferably luxury/editorial/fashion/product publications
- Examples showing technically structured pages, not only covers or highly photographic spreads
- A brief description of how you would approach rebuilding an approved PowerPoint design as a native InDesign publication
- Confirmation that you are comfortable reproducing an approved design rather than redesigning it
- Your experience with Parent Pages, paragraph/object styles, tables, linked assets, preflight, and print-ready PDFs
- Whether you work directly in Adobe InDesign
- Your proposed project fee or hourly rate

Paid Test / First Milestone
Before awarding the complete book, we would like the selected freelancer to reconstruct one approved spread as a paid test/milestone.
The test spread will be evaluated for:
- visual accuracy against the approved reference
- typography
- spacing and alignment
- image placement/cropping
- clean InDesign construction
- appropriate use of styles
- organization of the file
- attention to detail
If the test spread meets the standard, we intend to proceed with the complete Product Bible.
What We Will Provide
We will provide the approved PowerPoint layouts and available supporting assets.
The existing book has already undergone detailed visual review and production-readiness review. The selected freelancer will therefore have clear visual references rather than being asked to develop the design direction from scratch.
