I am looking for an experienced e-commerce website designer/developer to upgrade my existing UK website, Marie Minks.
The website is already live and trading, but I feel the current design looks too basic and I want to reposition it with a much more luxurious, premium and expensive-looking appearance.
I am NOT looking for someone simply to change a few colours or install a generic template. I want someone with a strong eye for luxury branding, fashion/interiors-style web design and premium e-commerce presentation.
The work I would like includes:
• Review my existing website and identify what currently makes it look less premium
• Redesign the homepage to give it a much more luxurious, high-end appearance
• Improve typography, spacing, imagery, banners, colours and overall visual hierarchy
• Improve collection/category pages
• Improve individual product pages so products feel more desirable and expensive
• Improve navigation and make it easier for customers to browse
• Make the mobile version look excellent, not simply functional
• Upload and correctly organise additional products that I will provide
• Improve product image presentation
• Improve trust elements, delivery information, FAQs and other important customer information where appropriate
• Review the cart/customer journey and suggest improvements that could increase conversions
• Ensure the finished website remains fast and professional
• Maintain existing important functionality, URLs and SEO wherever possible
Very important: The existing live website must not be redesigned directly without my approval. I want the new design created on a duplicate/staging version first. I must be able to review and approve it before anything replaces the current live website.
I want the finished website to feel like an established premium/luxury British brand, rather than a standard online store.
When applying, please answer these questions:
1. Please send me 3–5 luxury or premium e-commerce websites that you personally designed, and explain exactly what work you did on each.
2. Have you redesigned an existing trading e-commerce website without disrupting the live store?
3. After looking at Marie Minks, what are the first three things you would change to make the brand look more luxurious?
4. Would you create the redesign on a staging/duplicate version so my existing website remains untouched until I approve the new version?
5. Can you upload and format additional products as part of the project?
6. Can you improve the mobile version as part of the redesign?
7. How many revisions are included?
8. Approximately how long would the complete project take?
9. What is your fixed price for the complete project?
10. Are there any additional costs for themes, apps, plugins or software? Please list these separately before we begin.
11. Will I retain full ownership and administrator control of my website, domain, payment accounts and all other business assets?
Please do not send a generic proposal. I will prioritise applicants who have actually looked at Marie Minks and can explain specifically how they would make the website look more premium.
I am looking for someone who could potentially continue working with the business long-term if the initial redesign goes well.
