# Long-Term iOS Developer — Maintenance & Enhancements

We are looking for a dependable iOS Developer for long-term, part-time collaboration on an existing application under active development and enhancement.

We are not building a new application from scratch. The goal is to maintain, improve, and continuously evolve an established product.

We value code quality, proper testing, ownership, communication, and reliable delivery**.

• Existing iOS application
• Existing PHP backend
• MySQL database
• Development, Staging, and Production environments
• CI/CD pipeline with automatic deployment

• iOS Development — Primary
• PHP Backend (Yii2) — Basic familiarity is a plus
• MySQL

## RESPONSIBILITIES

---

• Handle ongoing development and maintenance tasks.
• Implement new features and business requirements.
• Investigate and fix bugs.
• Investigate API and backend integration issues when needed.
• Occasionally make small PHP/backend changes if required.
• Work safely within an existing codebase without introducing regressions.
• Maintain overall system stability and code quality.

## WORK SCHEDULE

---

• Part-time, task-based collaboration.
• Work is assigned in batches rather than fixed weekly hours.
• Each batch will have an agreed delivery timeline based on its scope and complexity.
• No fixed daily working hours are required. However, developers are expected to be reasonably available for communication, discussions, and task follow-up during five working days per week.
• In rare cases, urgent production issues may require reasonable availability outside the normal schedule.

### Consistent Progress

We expect consistent progress throughout each assignment.

For small to medium-sized tasks, developers should generally be able to deliver completed work within approximately **48 hours**, unless otherwise agreed based on the scope or complexity of the task.

If a blocker or unexpected issue occurs, it should be communicated early rather than waiting until the delivery deadline.

## REQUIREMENTS

• Strong experience with iOS development.
• Comfortable working with and understanding existing codebases.
• Experience with Git branches and Pull Requests.
• Able to investigate technical issues independently.
• Good understanding of API integrations.
• Good English communication skills for technical discussions.
• Basic PHP/Yii2 knowledge is a plus.

## DEVELOPMENT & QUALITY EXPECTATIONS

• Investigate the root cause before implementing a fix whenever possible.
• Deliver clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
• Every submitted task must be fully tested before delivery.
• Testing should cover both the implemented feature and related user flows to ensure existing functionality is not affected.
• Avoid unnecessary changes outside the assigned scope.
• Large, architectural, or potentially risky changes must be discussed before implementation.
• Follow the project's existing Git and Pull Request workflow.
• Communicate blockers, technical concerns, or unclear requirements early.
• Respect agreed delivery timelines and take ownership of assigned work.

**Quality and stability are more important than simply closing tasks quickly.**

## PAYMENT

• Payment is based on the agreed scope of each assigned batch of tasks.
• Scope, payment, and delivery timeline will be agreed before each batch begins.
• Regular task batches typically range from **$50–$300 USD per batch**, depending on scope and complexity.
• Payment will be processed after the assigned batch successfully passes QA validation against the agreed requirements.
• If part of an assigned batch is not completed within the agreed timeline, payment may be adjusted based on the unfinished scope.

## INITIAL TRIAL — $20

---

The initial **$20 project value covers the entire trial phase**, consisting of **two assigned tasks**.

The purpose of the trial is to evaluate:

• Code quality
• Problem-solving approach
• Ability to work with an existing codebase
• Testing quality
• Communication
• Git / Pull Request workflow
• Reliability and delivery

The trial is not based only on whether the tasks work. We will also review the implementation and overall development approach.

Developers who successfully complete the trial will be considered for ongoing task batches under the regular payment structure described above.
