London Basement Structural Calculations

I am extending a residential property in London and need a complete set of structural calculations and drawings for the new basement so Building Control can sign the project off without delay. The package has to cover every load-bearing element below ground level—including retaining walls, underpinning details, slab design, temporary works considerations and the connections to the existing superstructure—while also acknowledging the waterproofing strategy that will sit alongside the structure.

Please base the design on current Eurocodes or the relevant British Standards and prepare the report in a format Building Control officers in London are accustomed to reviewing. AutoCAD (DWG) plans, reinforced-concrete schedules, reaction tables and a clearly paginated calculation report, stamped or signed by a chartered structural engineer, will all be required. I will supply the architectural drawings in DWG/PDF as soon as we agree terms, and I’m happy to answer any site-specific questions quickly so you can keep momentum.

Deliverables
• Full calculation report (PDF) suitable for Building Control submission, signed by a CEng / MIStructE or equivalent
• General arrangement plans, sections and details (PDF + DWG) showing reinforcement, beam sizes, bearing lengths, etc.
• Concrete and steel schedules in tabular form
• Up to two revisions to address any Building Control comments
