Task: Locate and Verify Work Email Addresses
Objective
We have an Excel spreadsheet containing approximately 2,000 individuals, including their name and employer.
Your task is to research and identify the current work email address for each individual and add it to the existing Excel file.
The goal is to build an accurate, usable database of professional email addresses for these specific individuals.
What you need to do
For each person in the spreadsheet:
1. Use the person's **full name and employer** as the starting point.
2. Search online to identify their current professional/work email address.
3. Prioritise reliable sources, including:
* Employer websites
* Company staff/team pages
* Professional directories
* Conference/event speaker pages
* Industry association websites
* Public professional profiles
* Other reputable business databases or publicly available sources
4. Confirm that the email address relates to the **specific person and employer**, rather than simply finding a generic company email address.
5. Add the email address to the designated email column in the Excel spreadsheet.
6. If you cannot confidently identify an email address, leave the email field blank and mark the record as **"Not found"** in the status column.
Important accuracy requirements
Do not guess email addresses.
For example, if you find that a company uses the format `firstname.lastname (at) company.com`, do not automatically generate an email address for someone unless you can reasonably verify that the person uses that address.
Where possible, cross-check the email against another publicly available source.
try to avoid:
* Personal Gmail/Yahoo/Hotmail addresses
* Generic addresses such as info@, enquiries@, reception@ or contact@
* Obviously outdated email addresses
* Guessed email addresses that cannot be reasonably verified
Return the completed Excel spreadsheet with all original data preserved and the new email research added.
Please also provide a short summary showing:
* Total records reviewed
* People who appear to have left their employer
* Any other significant data-quality issues identified
