I create step-by-step tutorials for YouTube and need a seasoned editor who can weave together existing stock footage into clear, engaging live-action demonstrations. Every episode must feel hands-on rather than theoretical, so smooth pacing, concise cuts and well-timed zooms or callouts are essential.
You will receive:
• A rough script with time-coded narration
• Links to pre-licensed stock clips and b-roll
• Brand assets (logo, lower-third template and colour palette)
Your role is to:
• Select the strongest shots, trim dead space and maintain logical flow
• Match voice-over precisely, adding on-screen text or graphics where clarity helps
• Balance audio, colour-grade for consistency and deliver in 1080p (or higher if the footage allows) ready for YouTube upload
• Provide the editable project file (Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve acceptable) alongside the mastered .mp4
Acceptance criteria:
1. Final cut follows the script without noticeable jump cuts or awkward pauses
2. Visual aids appear exactly where the script calls them out
3. Audio peaks under –3 dBFS and no section exceeds –14 LUFS integrated loudness
4. Project file opens error-free with all assets linked
Typical runtime per video is 6-10 minutes, with new tutorials added regularly, so a smooth workflow and prompt communication will lead to ongoing work. If you have a strong reel that shows previous educational or hands-on demos, share it and tell me which tool you prefer so I can align asset formatting on my end.
