Linux BNG Server Configuration

I need an experienced network-oriented systems engineer to install and fully configure a Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) that will run on a Linux platform. The exact application mix is still open, but the core requirement is a stable, production-ready BNG that can authenticate subscribers, shape traffic, collect usage data, and hand off sessions cleanly to my existing upstream routers.

You will decide the most appropriate Linux distribution and tool-chain, document every step, and leave the server in a state where I can add or remove service modules later without downtime. A strong background with PPPoE, DHCP, RADIUS, IPoE, QoS policies, and high-throughput tuning under Linux is essential.

Deliverables
• A clean Linux installation, hardened and updated
• Fully operational BNG configuration (including AAA hooks)
• Written step-by-step documentation of the build and all custom commands
• Basic monitoring and log rotation set up so I can spot issues before subscribers do
• Final validation report showing successful subscriber authentication, throughput tests, and fail-over behaviour
