Project Description:

We are developing HappyMat(TM) Prototype #1, a smart interactive doormat incorporating sensors, a digital display, addressable LED lighting, wireless connectivity, camera/audio components, embedded electronics, and a custom physical structure.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechatronics / Product Development Engineer to serve as the technical lead and primary system integrator. You will collaborate with other HappyMat specialists, including embedded/firmware, mechanical/CAD, prototype fabrication/electronics, and IoT/interface development.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Define the overall prototype architecture.
• Coordinate technical decisions across the engineering team.
• Integrate sensors, display, LED lighting, camera/audio, controller, wireless connectivity, and mechanical
components.
• Coordinate technical integration with the other HappyMat team members.
• Help select practical off-the-shelf modules where they reduce cost and development time.
• Lead troubleshooting and integration testing.
• Lead the final functional demonstration.
• Deliver applicable engineering files and documentation.

COMPENSATION - $700 USD FOR THIS TEAM MEMBER
Fixed Price: $700 USD for this individual position.

The selected professional for this position will receive $700 USD total for successful completion of the complete assigned scope.
HappyMat is assembling a multidisciplinary engineering team. Each team member is hired separately and each team member receives their own $700 USD fixed payment for their individual assigned scope.

The $700 payment is NOT shared or divided among the engineering team.

This is a fixed-price project, not an hourly position.
