I have a finished children’s manuscript aimed at readers aged 9–12. The adventurous storyline is in place, but I need a fresh professional eye to tighten the prose and make the characters truly memorable.
Your focus will be two-fold:
• Correct every instance of grammar, spelling, and punctuation so the text reads flawlessly for a middle-grade audience.
• Enrich the character development—add small personality details, refine dialogue, and be sure each character’s motivation fuels the sense of adventure without altering the core plot.
I’ll supply the Word document; please return:
1. A clean, publication-ready file.
2. A tracked-changes version showing every edit.
3. A brief (one-page is fine) overview of the key character enhancements you introduced.
No layout or illustration work is needed—this is strictly about the words. If you’re experienced in middle-grade fiction and comfortable balancing excitement with age-appropriate language, I’d love to see how you can elevate my story.
