I’m building a web-based product and need a seasoned Java developer to own the server side. The stack is straightforward: Spring Boot for the application layer, PostgreSQL for persistence. I already have the front-end team working on REST calls and a basic schema sketched out, so what I need now is a clean, well-structured backend that exposes the endpoints, handles business logic, and talks to Postgres efficiently.

You’ll design and code the REST API, wire it to PostgreSQL with JPA/Hibernate, and set up sensible error handling, security (JWT is preferred), and unit tests. Maven or Gradle is fine—just keep the build simple and reproducible. A Dockerfile for local runs will help my QA team spin it up quickly.

Deliverables
• Full Spring Boot project with source code
• PostgreSQL schema & migration scripts
• API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger)
• Basic test suite and brief README for setup

If you’ve shipped similar web services before and can communicate clearly about trade-offs, let’s talk.
java jsp j2ee software architecture postgresql docker kubernetes spring boot hibernate rest api
