Insurance Accounting Advisor (Part-Time)

I’m looking for someone who already understands the workings of accounting within insurance systems and can step in on a flexible, part-time basis to walk our small team through it. My immediate priority is to get clarity on premium calculations—how they flow from policy initiation to revenue recognition—so we can tighten our processes right away.

We’ll start with a live call (video or voice, whichever you prefer) where you map out the full premium-related ledger flow. From there, I’ll rely on you for continued guidance on:

• Reconciliation – monthly and year-end checks between policy admin and the general ledger.
• Reporting – structuring management reports and regulatory statements so they pull the right figures automatically.
• Auditing – helping us build an audit trail that stands up to external review.

Because the need is ASAP, I’d like to schedule the first deep-dive session within the next few days, then set up periodic check-ins as issues arise. Clear documentation of each walkthrough—screenshots, journal entry examples, and step-by-step notes—will be the key deliverable after every session so my team can reference them without you on the line.
