Install Python on Windows

I need Python fully set up on my Windows machine with the most recent stable release. I’m not even sure whether the installer is already on the PC, so I’d like you to confirm that first, fetch the correct installer if it’s missing, and then walk me through—or remotely carry out—the complete installation.

After installation I want to be able to:
• open Command Prompt and run python --version to see the new version number
• use pip without errors
• create and run a short “hello world” script to confirm everything is working

If environment variables need tweaking, please handle that as part of the job. A brief note at the end summarising what was done and any future maintenance tips will close the task.
