Industrial Timber Building Concept Design

I’m developing a new 31-metre-wide industrial facility and I want two alternative timber framing concepts, both fully compliant with AS 1720.1:

• Option 1 – a timber structure with a central row of columns to shorten roof spans
• Option 2 – a clear-span timber structure that covers the entire width

I will supply all loading data (PV, services, wind, and lifting point). No additional environmental or sustainability standards need to be met beyond normal code-based practice.

Please deliver a concise, well-presented PDF that includes:
• General Arrangement plan for each option
• Cross-sections
• Stability / bracing elevations
• One critical connection concept sketch per scheme
• Summary structural calculations showing governing checks
• Member sizes, grades, and a brief material take-off
• Key design assumptions
• A side-by-side comparison with your professional recommendation on the preferred solution

Drawings can be produced in any common CAD platform; calculations may be run in your usual analysis software as long as results are clearly traceable to AS 1720.1 clauses.
