I’m finalising an industrial facility that relies heavily on structural steel, and I need an engineer who can step in to make sure everything moves from fabrication shop to site exactly as our detailed documents intend.
All design calculations, models, and connection details are already completed, but I want a fresh set of expert eyes to:
• Review and comment on the fabricator’s shop and erection drawings before they hit the workshop floor, checking member sizes, weld symbols, bolt schedules, tolerances, and compliance with the issued IFC package.
• Supervise construction on-site through scheduled visits or full-time presence (depending on progress), verify that assemblies match approved drawings, coordinate any RFIs, and produce succinct inspection reports that the client and contractor can act on immediately.
Your background in structural steel fabrication methods, QA/QC procedures, and field troubleshooting is key. Familiarity with Tekla, AutoCAD, and common analysis suites will help you navigate our files, but clear, actionable communication with the site team matters just as much.
Deliverables are straightforward: signed-off shop drawings, deviation/clarification logs, and periodic site reports capturing photos, measurements, and punch-list items until steelwork is fully erected and accepted.
If you’re ready to safeguard the integrity of this steel frame from drawing board to final bolt-up, let’s talk timelines and get you on-board.
