Import Sales Data into Tally

I have a collection of sales records sitting neatly in an Excel spreadsheet and I need them flowing just as neatly into Tally. The job is to create a reliable import (and if practical, a matching export) routine so the sales data moves between Excel and Tally without manual re-typing or copy-paste errors.

You may decide to work with Tally’s XML import structure, ODBC connectivity, or an Excel macro/VBA script—whichever gives a clean, repeatable result that I can run myself after your hand-over. My key requirement is accuracy: every invoice, amount, tax split and customer field in the sheet must land in the correct ledger and voucher type inside Tally. If you can also generate a template or button that lets me pull the same data back out to Excel for quick analysis, that’s a bonus.

Please deliver:
• A working import method tested on my sample Excel file
• Clear step-by-step instructions so I can repeat the process on future spreadsheets
• A brief validation report proving that totals in Tally match the source sheet after import
