Illustrative KDP Children’s Cover

I need a vibrant, fully-illustrated cover for a children’s book aimed at 4- to 7-year-olds that I’m publishing through Amazon KDP. The look should feel story-book rich—whimsical, detailed, and inviting—steering clear of both cartoonish exaggeration and minimalist flat art.

I’ll supply the final title, author name, and back-cover blurb once we begin. The trim size is 8.5" × 8.5" (12 pages), so please build in KDP’s required bleed, spine width, and barcode quiet zone. Colour must convert cleanly to CMYK while staying bright, and text should stay crisp even in a tiny thumbnail.

Deliverables
• Print-ready PDF (front, spine, back) that passes KDP’s preview tool
• High-resolution JPEG for the online listing
• Layered source file (PSD or AI) with editable text

Acceptance criteria: design passes KDP upload without adjustments, text is legible at thumbnail size, colours remain vibrant in CMYK, and full commercial rights are transferred.

If your portfolio already includes illustrative children’s covers, please share the link so I can see how your style fits this project. Excited to see your ideas come to life!
