I’m developing a hydrogen fuel-cell drone dedicated to long-range surveillance across mixed terrain, and I need an expert who can take the concept from rough outline to flight-ready platform.

The aircraft must stay aloft far longer than standard Li-ion multirotors, carry an optical payload suited to detailed observation at distance, and handle transitions between open rural zones and cluttered urban fringes without losing signal or stability. I already know the broad performance targets— extended endurance, silent operation, and a minimum control radius matching typical BVLOS requirements— but I’m looking for someone who can translate those targets into concrete engineering decisions.

You will be responsible for:
• Selecting and sizing the hydrogen fuel cell, storage tanks, and balance-of-plant components, showing how they meet the energy and weight budget.
• Designing or adapting an airframe that maximises lift-to-drag while housing the powertrain safely.
• Integrating a gimbal-stabilised camera system that supports crisp long-range observation, with provisions for future thermal or multi-spectral sensors.
• Detailing avionics, flight controller (Pixhawk/Ardupilot or comparable), telemetry links, and ground-station workflow that remain stable over mixed terrain.
• Providing CAD files, wiring diagrams, and a verified bill of materials along with performance simulations (SolidWorks Flow/CFD, MATLAB, or similar) that demonstrate flight time and range.
• Recommending a test plan; remote witnessing of first flights is fine if you have a proven setup.

Acceptance criteria
1. Simulated endurance under specified payload matches or exceeds the benchmark we set at project start.
2. Structural analysis confirms safety factors for composite arms, fuselage, and tank mounting.
3. All documentation is complete and reproducible by a third-party builder.
